  • West Stand

The main premium side with dugouts, lounges and the best central tactical views. Mid-level halfway-line seats carry the highest standard-seat prices.

Background

Everton club history

Everton are one of English football's foundational institutions — nine-time champions, founding members of the Football League and ever-present in the top flight for all but four seasons. A new waterfront era began in 2025.

Capacity of the new waterfront stadium

Founded as St Domingo's in 1878, Everton helped establish the Football League ten years later and were champions for the first time in 1890/91. The club first played at Anfield, but a rent dispute prompted the 1892 move across Stanley Park to Goodison and indirectly led to Liverpool FC's creation.

Everton's history is rich with landmark teams: Dixie Dean scored an unmatched 60 league goals in the 1927/28 title season; Harry Catterick's 'School of Science' won the championship in 1963 and 1970; and Howard Kendall's 1984–87 side lifted two league titles, an FA Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup.

The 1995 FA Cup remained Everton's last major trophy through a long Premier League stretch marked by near misses and relegation escapes. In 2025 the club left Goodison after 133 years for Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, and won the first league game there 2-0 against Brighton, carrying the old ground's intensity into a steep new waterfront bowl.

Honours. 9 league titles · 5 FA Cups · European Cup Winners' Cup (1985) · 9 Charity Shields · founding members of the Football League and Premier League.

The ground. Hill Dickinson Stadium opened at Bramley-Moore Dock in 2025, replacing Goodison Park. Its 52,769-seat four-stand bowl was designed with steep tiers and a large South Stand to retain Everton's close, confrontational atmosphere; the Mersey and dock walls make the setting unmistakable.

Biggest rivalries

  • Liverpool. The Merseyside Derby is Everton's defining fixture — a city and often a family divided, and the longest-running top-flight derby in England. Liverpool vs Everton tickets →
  • Manchester United. A north-west rivalry with two FA Cup finals at its heart: United won in 1985 to deny Kendall's side a treble, and Everton won the 1995 final 1-0. Manchester United vs Everton tickets →
  • Manchester City. A north-west fixture with cup history of its own — Dixie Dean scored as Everton beat City 3-0 in the 1933 FA Cup final. Manchester City vs Everton tickets →
