History

About Villa Park

Villa Park has been Aston Villa's home since 1897, on the former Aston Lower Grounds. Its four independently developed stands gave the stadium a layered character: the Holte End was rebuilt in the 1990s and the Trinity Road Stand followed around the turn of the century. The North Stand is closed for the whole of 2026/27 while it is expanded, with standard seating and concourses due to reopen for 2027/28.

Seating layout

Villa Park seating plan & capacity

For 2026/27, compare the Holte End for atmosphere, central Trinity Road for the premium side-on view and the Doug Ellis Stand for a less expensive touchline angle. Do not select a North Stand listing unless it is explicitly valid for the fixture; the stand is closed during the redevelopment.

• Holte End

The two-tier home end behind the south goal and the heart of Aston Villa's vocal support. Upper rows provide the steepest full-pitch view.

• Trinity Road Stand

The three-tier main stand on the west touchline, containing the tunnel, dugouts, directors' area and much of the premium inventory.

• Doug Ellis Stand

The two-tier east touchline stand opposite Trinity Road. Central blocks provide a clear side-on view without the main-stand premium.

• North Stand

The stand behind the north goal. It is closed throughout 2026/27 for refurbishment and expansion, with its standard seating due back for 2027/28.
