Trent End
The two-tier home end beside the River Trent and the visual signature of the ground. Central lower blocks put you near the flags and pre-match rendition of Mull of Kintyre.
Brian Clough Stand
The large two-tier east touchline stand. Central upper seats give a strong tactical view, while lower rows bring you closer to the pitch and dugout-side action.
Peter Taylor Stand
The compact main stand on the west side, with the tunnel and premium spaces. Its low roof and close seating preserve the City Ground's old-school feel.
Bridgford Stand
The unusual sloping roof sits behind the north goal. Visiting supporters use Lower Bridgford, including safe-standing Block W; home safe standing occupies other upper and lower blocks.

Background
Nottingham Forest club history
Nottingham Forest are the club with two stars above the badge — English champions once, European champions twice. The City Ground's red stands beside the Trent remain inseparable from Brian Clough's impossible achievement.
1865
Nottingham Forest founded
2
European Cups — won back to back
42
League games unbeaten from 1977 to 1978
23
Years outside the top flight before 2022
Forest were founded in 1865 and are among the world's oldest professional clubs. Early contributions went beyond their own results: they donated kits to Arsenal, helped clubs including Liverpool and Brighton adopt red, and won the FA Cup for the first time in 1898.
Brian Clough and Peter Taylor transformed a second-tier club after arriving in 1975. Forest won promotion, then the 1977/78 league title at the first attempt, two League Cups and consecutive European Cups in 1979 and 1980 — an unmatched rise that means the club has been champion of Europe more often than champion of England.
Relegation in 1999 began a 23-year top-flight absence that included three seasons in League One. Steve Cooper's side returned through the 2022 play-offs, and the restored City Ground atmosphere helped Forest move from survival battles back toward the European places.
Honours. 2 European Cups (1979, 1980) · league champions (1978) · 2 FA Cups · 4 League Cups · UEFA Super Cup (1979).
The ground. The City Ground has stood beside the River Trent since 1898, within sight of Notts County's Meadow Lane across the water. Capacity rose above 30,400 after 2024 upgrades; the Trent End supplies the home spectacle and the Lower Bridgford holds visiting supporters.
Biggest rivalries
- Derby County. The East Midlands derby is Forest's defining rivalry; the clubs play for the Brian Clough Trophy in memory of the manager shared by both.
- Leicester City. A regional rivalry across the East Midlands, often carrying extra weight when the clubs meet in the same division or a cup tie.
- Liverpool. A historic competitive rivalry born from Clough's Forest displacing Liverpool at home and in Europe during the late 1970s. Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest tickets →
