History

About Emirates Stadium

The Emirates Stadium opened on 22 July 2006, replacing Highbury after 93 years of Arsenal football at the original ground. The 15-year, £100m naming rights deal with Emirates Airline was the largest in British football at the time. Arsenal's first competitive Emirates fixture. Against Aston Villa on 19 August 2006, ended 1-1.

The Emirates has four levels: lower tier, Club Level, executive boxes and upper tier. Choose the North Bank or Clock End for behind-goal home atmosphere, or East and West Stand seats for a side-on view. Away supporters occupy the lower-tier south-east corner; cup allocations can differ from league matches.

• North Bank

  Behind the northern goal, carrying its name from Highbury. The lower tier is close to the singing support; upper rows provide a wider view down the pitch.

• Clock End (South)

  Behind the southern goal, named after the Highbury clock. The away allocation is in the lower-tier south-east corner where the Clock End meets the East Stand.

• East Stand

  Along the touchline, offering side-on views near halfway. General seating is in the lower and upper tiers, with Club Level and an executive box level between them.

• West Stand

  Opposite the East Stand, with central seats, premium areas and the directors’ facilities. Compare the exact tier and any hospitality inclusions before choosing a listing.

Tube

Arsenal station on the Piccadilly line is a short walk away. Finsbury Park and Highbury & Islington are useful alternatives. Holloway Road has matchday restrictions, so check the club’s travel guidance and TfL service updates.

Train

Use Finsbury Park or Highbury & Islington for rail connections. Drayton Park station is closed on matchdays.

Bus

TfL routes 4, 19, 263 serve Holloway Road within walking distance.

Walk

Highbury & Islington to the stadium: 12 minutes.

Drive

There is no matchday parking at the stadium. The Local Resident Parking Scheme makes most surrounding streets permit-only on matchdays.

Parking

Matchday parking is not available at the stadium. Holloway Road and Camden have limited public parking spaces (paid). Public transport is strongly recommended.
