Seating

Where to sit at Gtech Community Stadium

  • West Stand

The main home end and licensed-standing area, built for supporters who want the most constant noise. The rake is steep and the roof holds sound well despite the stand's small scale.

  • South Stand

The touchline side with dugouts and most premium spaces. Central seats give the best tactical view; Block S100 also includes licensed standing.

  • North Stand

A compact side-on stand opposite the dugouts, with the family area toward the east. It offers clear views and generally calmer surroundings than the West Stand.

  • East Stand

The away end behind the goal, with visiting supporters separated from the home corners. Only buy here when your listing explicitly matches the team you intend to support.

Background

Brentford club history

Brentford are West London's data-smart Bees — a supporter-connected club that left Griffin Park, reached the Premier League after 74 years away and made a 17,250-seat ground feel far larger than its footprint.

Years between top-flight seasons

Brentford were formed in 1889 after members of the local rowing club voted for association football over rugby as their winter sport. They settled at Griffin Park in 1904, a ground famous for having a pub on every corner, and reached the First Division under Harry Curtis in 1935.

The club later fell as far as the fourth tier and repeatedly came close to financial trouble. Supporters' trust Bees United took control in 2006 before Matthew Benham's investment and an evidence-led recruitment model changed the ceiling. Brentford rose from League One, narrowly missed promotion in 2020 and won the Championship play-off final in 2021.

That victory ended a 74-year absence from the top flight. Brentford's aggressive set pieces, smart trading and stable identity made them more than a novelty in the Premier League, while the move from Griffin Park to the Gtech Community Stadium gave the club a sustainable modern home beside Kew Bridge.

Honours. Second-tier champions (1935) · third-tier champions (1933, 1992) · Championship play-off winners (2021) · best top-flight finish: fifth in 1935/36.

The ground. The Gtech Community Stadium opened in 2020 beside Kew Bridge station. Its 17,250 seats are fitted into a tight triangular site between railway lines, producing four close, steep stands; the West Stand is the vocal home end and the East Stand is reserved for visiting support.

Biggest rivalries

  • Fulham. The sharpest current West London rivalry, intensified by the 2020 Championship play-off final and regular Premier League meetings. Brentford vs Fulham tickets →
  • Queens Park Rangers. A long-running local rivalry known as part of the West London derby set, played far more often in the lower divisions.
  • Chelsea. The glamorous near-neighbour fixture: only a few miles separate the clubs, but their histories and scales could hardly be more different. Chelsea vs Brentford tickets →
