History

About Highbury Stadium

The ground opened in 1939 on the south-west corner of Memorial Park and is named after Highbury Avenue behind it; before then the club played beside the North Euston Hotel. From 1948 to 1952 it also staged speedway for the Fleetwood Flyers, which left the west-side stands set back from the pitch for decades. Redevelopment began with the Percy Ronson Stand terrace in February 2007. The north and west stands opened on 23 August 2008, and the Parkside Stand on the east side was finished in spring 2011, giving the ground the capacity Fleetwood needed for Football League membership.

Seating layout

Highbury Stadium seating plan & capacity

Tickets are sold in three types: premium seating, standard seating and standing. Football Ground Guide recommends the Parkside Stand, along the touchline, for the best view.

  • Parkside Stand

The east-side seated stand, opened in April 2011, with three levels, executive boxes and the Parkside Lounge; it can be opened to away fans when demand is high.

  • Highbury Stand

The west-side stand, opened in 2008 over the old speedway setback.

  • Memorial Stand

The north (Park End) stand, opened in 2008 with a capacity of 1,473, named in memory of those who died serving their country and the town’s trawlermen lost at sea.

  • Percy Ronson Stand

A covered terrace at the south end, opened in February 2007, which houses away supporters.
