Competition guide

About the UEFA Nations League

The UEFA Nations League is international football's league system: every European national team, sorted into Leagues A to D by strength, playing home-and-away groups with promotion and relegation between them. It replaced most international friendlies with matches that count — and it feeds qualification for the European Championship and the World Cup.

It runs every other season, in the autumn international windows, with its finals the following June. Listings on this page follow each country's home matches as sellers post them; the national-team pages gather each side's fixtures across all competitions in one place.

How it works

Four leagues, and a reason to win every match

The field is split into Leagues A, B, C and D by ranking, each divided into small groups played home and away. Group winners are promoted, bottom sides relegated — so a September fixture between mid-ranked nations carries real consequence, which is exactly what the old friendly calendar lacked.

At the top, League A's group winners advance to knockouts and a June finals week for the trophy itself. Further down, performance opens play-off routes into the European Championship and World Cup — several nations have reached major tournaments through Nations League standing alone.

Tickets

Sold by the home association, window by window

Every Nations League match is a home international for one association, staged at its own chosen stadium — which for many countries varies from window to window. Tickets are released by the home federation once venues are confirmed, and resale listings follow the same rhythm.

Demand tracks the pairing: a group meeting of two heavyweight League A sides behaves like a qualifier against a rival, while smaller nations' home matches are often among the cheapest international tickets in Europe. Away allocations exist but are limited, as at any international.

Before you travel

Confirm the stadium, not just the country

National teams move around: an association may take one window's matches to a different city entirely. The venue on the event page is the confirmed one — check it rather than assuming a country's usual national stadium.

Windows are tight, with two matches in a few days, and exact kick-off dates within a window are set by UEFA's schedule. If you are combining a trip with a second match, verify both dates in the same window before booking anything non-refundable.

FAQ

UEFA Nations League ticket FAQs

Are UEFA Nations League tickets on Anyseats authentic?

Listings come from verified sellers. The 200% Buyer Guarantee covers ticket non-delivery and ticket-related denied entry that cannot be resolved in time. We first try to provide comparable or better replacements. When that is not possible, you get 100% refunded, plus 100% back in credit. Events cancelled by the organiser without a replacement date are refunded in full instead.

When will my UEFA Nations League tickets arrive?

Tickets usually arrive 24-72 hours before the event and are guaranteed before it begins. Some issuers release tickets closer to the start time. Most tickets are delivered electronically. Physical tickets are sent by tracked courier or arranged for clearly identified collection.

Why are UEFA Nations League ticket prices sometimes above face value?

Anyseats is a secondary marketplace. Prices are set by individual sellers and reflect the live supply and demand for each fixture, section and quantity. Compare the total buyer price and listing details before choosing.

What happens if my UEFA Nations League match is cancelled or postponed?

If an event is postponed or rescheduled, your ticket stays valid for the new date. If an event is cancelled outright with no replacement date, you're refunded in full for the tickets and any mandatory order fees, to your original payment method - automatically. A cancellation by the organiser is outside our control, so it is covered by that full refund rather than by the 200% Buyer Guarantee.

Can I buy UEFA Nations League away tickets?

Away inventory appears only when an available listing is specifically identified for that allocation. Supply is limited and supporter, identification or collection rules may apply, so read the listing and fulfilment instructions carefully.

How does the UEFA Nations League work?

Every European national team is placed in one of four leagues by ranking, plays a home-and-away group in the autumn windows, and can be promoted or relegated. League A's best sides go on to knockouts and a June finals week for the trophy.

When are Nations League matches played?

In the September, October and November international windows, two matches per window, with the knockout rounds and finals the following year. Tickets therefore appear in bursts around each window rather than continuously.

Does the Nations League affect World Cup or Euro qualification?

Yes — that is much of its point. Nations League standings feed play-off routes into both the European Championship and the World Cup, so a group's final round can decide a nation's tournament path months before qualifying proper ends.

Who sells Nations League tickets?

The home association for each fixture, at its chosen stadium. Resale listings appear here once those sales begin; away sections are limited and controlled by the visiting federation, as at any international.

Are Nations League matches competitive or friendlies?

Fully competitive — promotion, relegation, a trophy and tournament play-off routes all ride on them. The competition exists precisely to replace friendlies in these windows with matches that count.

Where is the Nations League final played?

At a host chosen from the four finals-week participants' countries, confirmed after the knockout pairings are known — a single city stages the semi-finals and final across one June week.

Why does this page go quiet between international windows?

Because the entire competition lives inside a handful of international breaks. Between windows there are simply no upcoming rounds to sell — the fixture list resumes as the next window's venues and sales are confirmed.
