History

About Stadion Stožice

Building started in 2009 and took 14 months. The stadium opened on 11 August 2010 with a friendly in which Slovenia beat Australia 2–0. It was designed by Sadar + Vuga and built by GREP as part of the Stožice Sports Park, which also includes an indoor arena. Slovenian Wikipedia puts the cost at €43 million.
