About the Club Friendlies

Club friendlies are every match outside league and cup competition: pre-season tours, testimonials, invitational trophies and one-off exhibitions. There is no fixed season here — the calendar builds club by club as tours are announced, peaks in July and August before the European leagues begin, and picks up again around international breaks and winter pauses. The list above shows what is actually on sale now rather than a schedule of everything that might be played.

Friendlies are the most schedule-fluid football we sell. Kick-off times firm up late, venues are sometimes neutral or far from either club's home ground, and a match can move with far less notice than a league fixture. Treat every detail as provisional until close to the date, and check the event page again before booking non-refundable travel.

What these matches are

Pre-season tours and one-off exhibitions

Most of what lands on this page is the summer tour circuit: European clubs playing warm-up matches at home, against each other in neutral stadiums, or in front of supporters in the United States, Asia and the Middle East who rarely get to see them otherwise. Around it sit testimonials, anniversary matches and invitational trophies — games arranged for an occasion rather than a table.

The matchday is noticeably different from a competitive fixture. Crowds are more mixed, the stakes are social rather than sporting, and clubs treat these games as a chance to show the squad rather than to win at all costs. For a first visit with children, or for seeing a big club without derby-level pricing and pressure, a friendly is often the easiest way in.

Buying for a friendly

Prices and line-ups work differently

A friendly between two clubs is usually cheaper than a league meeting of the same clubs, because nothing rides on the result and stadium allocations are bigger. The exception is the marquee tour match — two famous clubs in an enormous stadium can still price like an occasion, because for the local audience it is one.

Line-ups are the other difference. Heavy rotation is normal in a friendly: managers split matches into halves for fitness, and a star name may play forty-five minutes or not at all. Buy a friendly ticket to see the club, not one player — no listing can promise who starts.

Before you travel

Schedules firm up late

Nothing in the wider calendar forces a friendly to be played, which is why details move more freely than league fixtures: kick-off times are confirmed late, venues can change, and a match can occasionally be called off with short notice for weather or logistics. The event page reflects the latest official information we hold.

Plan travel with that fluidity in mind. Book refundable transport and accommodation where you can, re-check the event page in the final days before the match, and allow extra time at the ground — tour matches often run unfamiliar entry arrangements at stadiums the clubs do not normally play in.

FAQ

Club Friendlies ticket FAQs

Are Club Friendlies tickets on Anyseats authentic?

Listings come from verified sellers. The 200% Buyer Guarantee covers ticket non-delivery and ticket-related denied entry that cannot be resolved in time. We first try to provide comparable or better replacements. When that is not possible, you get 100% refunded, plus 100% back in credit. Events cancelled by the organiser without a replacement date are refunded in full instead.

When will my Club Friendlies tickets arrive?

Tickets usually arrive 24-72 hours before the event and are guaranteed before it begins. Some issuers release tickets closer to the start time. Most tickets are delivered electronically. Physical tickets are sent by tracked courier or arranged for clearly identified collection.

Why are Club Friendlies ticket prices sometimes above face value?

Anyseats is a secondary marketplace. Prices are set by individual sellers and reflect the live supply and demand for each fixture, section and quantity. Compare the total buyer price and listing details before choosing.

What happens if my Club Friendlies match is cancelled or postponed?

If an event is postponed or rescheduled, your ticket stays valid for the new date. If an event is cancelled outright with no replacement date, you're refunded in full for the tickets and any mandatory order fees, to your original payment method - automatically. A cancellation by the organiser is outside our control, so it is covered by that full refund rather than by the 200% Buyer Guarantee.

Can I buy Club Friendlies away tickets?

Away inventory appears only when an available listing is specifically identified for that allocation. Supply is limited and supporter, identification or collection rules may apply, so read the listing and fulfilment instructions carefully.

What counts as a club friendly on Anyseats?

Any club match played outside league and cup competition: pre-season tour games, testimonials, anniversary matches, invitational trophies and mid-season exhibitions. If two clubs meet and no table or trophy round depends on it, it lives on this page.

When do pre-season friendly tickets go on sale?

Usually after clubs announce their summer tours, which mostly happens in late spring. Listings then appear here as sellers post them, so the page fills up through May, June and July rather than all at once.

Are friendly line-ups guaranteed?

No. Rotation is the point of a friendly — managers split the match between squads for fitness, and a star player may feature for one half or be rested entirely. No ticket, from any seller, can promise a specific line-up.

Why is a friendly sometimes played at a neutral or overseas venue?

Tours stage matches where the audience is. Two European clubs can meet in the United States, Asia or the Middle East precisely because supporters there rarely see them live — the venue is chosen for the occasion, not for either club's convenience.

Are friendlies cheaper than league matches?

Often, for the same two clubs — nothing rides on the result and allocations are larger. Marquee tour matches are the exception: a famous pairing in a huge stadium can still price like a major event because, for its local audience, it is one.

Do friendlies have segregated home and away ends?

Often not, or far less strictly than at a competitive fixture. Mixed seating is common at tour matches and testimonials, which is part of why the atmosphere is more relaxed. The listing's section details describe where you would actually sit.

Is there a friendlies fixture list for the whole year?

No single official calendar exists — tours and exhibitions are announced club by club throughout the year, which is why this page changes continuously. Following a club on Anyseats is the reliable way to hear when a new date goes on sale.
