History
About Parken
Parken stands on the site of Københavns Idrætspark, the national stadium opened in 1911. Rebuilding began on 15 November 1990: three stands were demolished and replaced, the pitch was turned 90 degrees, and the 1955 main stand was kept as the D stand. The new stadium opened in September 1992 and FC Copenhagen, founded that year, made it their home; the club bought it from Baltica on 1 July 1998. A retractable roof was added for the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest, and the old D stand was replaced by a new family and VIP stand in 2009.
