Seating
Where to sit at Santiago Bernabéu
Lateral Este and Lateral Oeste
The two long sides run the full length of the pitch. Lower rows put you close to the touchline, the middle tiers balance closeness and overview, and the top tiers are high and steep but show the whole shape of the game. Central Lateral seats are the most expensive in the stadium.
Fondo Sur
The south end behind the goal is traditionally where Real Madrid's organised home supporters gather, so its lower section is the place for chants and flags.
Fondo Norte
The north goal end is usually one of the best-value ways into the Bernabéu. The view is end-on, but the steep bowl keeps you close to the action even from the middle rows. The away section is in its top tiers, around the north-east corner.
Corners
The corners between the Fondos and the Laterals are the sweet spot for price against sightline, with an angled view across the pitch for noticeably less than the central sideline seats.

Background
Real Madrid club history
Real Madrid are the most decorated club in European football: Spanish champions more often than anyone else and the club that won the first five European Cups.

5
European Cups in a row, 1956 to 1960

European Cups won up to 2024
From Di Stéfano to the modern Champions League era
The club was founded in 1902 as Madrid Football Club and received the royal title 'Real' from King Alfonso XIII in 1920. Under president Santiago Bernabéu, who built the stadium that bears his name, Madrid became a global force in the 1950s, and a team led by Alfredo Di Stéfano won the first five European Cups between 1956 and 1960.
Another European title followed in 1966, and the 'Galácticos' era brought three more in 1998, 2000 and 2002. Between 2014 and 2018 the club won four Champions Leagues in five seasons, including three in a row under Zinedine Zidane, and further wins in 2022 and 2024 took the total to 15.
At home, Real Madrid hold the record for Spanish league titles. The remodelling of the Bernabéu, largely completed in 2024, has turned the club's historic home into one of the most modern stadiums in world football.
Honours. Record number of La Liga titles · 15 European Cups / Champions Leagues (to 2024) · 2 UEFA Cups (1985, 1986) · 20 Copa del Rey titles (to 2023) · multiple FIFA Club World Cups.
The ground. The Santiago Bernabéu has stood on the Paseo de la Castellana since 1947. Its retractable roof and steel and glass skin make it one of Europe's most striking venues, and it has hosted four European Cup and Champions League finals and the 1982 World Cup final.

Getting to Santiago Bernabéu
Madrid · 78,297 capacity · Opened 1947
Real Madrid have played at the Santiago Bernabéu since 1947, and the stadium is named after the president who built it. A full remodelling that began in 2019 and was largely completed in 2024 wrapped the bowl in a steel and glass skin, added a retractable roof and installed a pitch that slides into an underground hall, so the stadium can host concerts and events without damaging the grass. It has staged four European Cup and Champions League finals, as well as the 1982 World Cup final.
Public transport: Santiago Bernabéu station on Metro Line 10 opens onto the Paseo de la Castellana in the Chamartín district, right beside the stadium. Nuevos Ministerios, about 15 minutes' walk to the south, adds more Metro lines and Cercanías trains.
Away fans: The visiting allocation is placed high up in the Fondo Norte, around the north-east corner.

Seating at Santiago Bernabéu
The Bernabéu is a steep four-tier bowl. Lateral Este and Lateral Oeste run along the length of the pitch, with Fondo Norte and Fondo Sur behind the goals. The lower Lateral rows are the closest to the touchline, while the upper tiers are high and steep and show the full shape of the game rather than the players' faces.
Fondo seats behind the goals usually offer the best value, and the corners between the Fondos and the Laterals are the sweet spot for price against view. The away allocation sits high in the Fondo Norte. Every listing states its section, and the seat map shows exactly where each one is.
