About Estadi Ciutat de València
The stadium opened on 9 September 1969 with Levante against Valencia, under club president Antonio Román, after whom it was first named. It was known as the Nou Estadi (del Llevant) from 1972 and as Ciutat de València from 1999. Seats were installed throughout in 1997 to meet league rules, a shopping centre was built along the east side between 2007 and 2010, and a roof over all stands and two video screens were added in 2020–21.
