Seating

Where to sit at Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán

  • Gol Norte

The north end behind the goal is home to the Biris Norte, Sevilla's best-known supporters' group, and it is the loudest part of the stadium. Pick it if you want flags, drums and non-stop singing.

  • Preferencia

The west main stand is the only covered stand in the ground and carries the famous 1982 mosaic on its façade. Central seats give the classic side-on view and are the premium choice, with the added bonus of shelter from the sun and rain.

  • Gol Sur

The south end behind the goal, decorated with a mosaic added in 2005 for the club's centenary. It is usually a calmer, good-value alternative to the Gol Norte, with a close end-on view.

  • East side and upper rows

The long uncovered stand opposite the Preferencia offers a similar side-on view for less money. Remember that only the main stand is roofed, so on hot early-season afternoons a shaded Preferencia seat is worth paying for.

Sevilla club history

Sevilla FC are the record winners of the UEFA Cup and Europa League and one of Spain's most successful clubs in Europe, with a fiercely loyal home in the Nervión district.

From Nervión to Europe's specialists

Sevilla trace their history back to 1890, which makes them one of the oldest football clubs in Spain. They won the Copa del Rey in 1935 and 1939 and were crowned La Liga champions in 1945/46, still the club's only league title.

The club's golden era began in the 2000s. Sevilla won the UEFA Cup in 2006 and 2007, added the UEFA Super Cup in 2006 and the Copa del Rey in 2007 and 2010, and then turned the Europa League into their own competition, with titles in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2020 and 2023.

Matches at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, nicknamed 'La Bombonera de Nervión', are famous for their intensity, and the club anthem sung by the whole ground before kick-off is one of the great rituals of Spanish football.

Honours. La Liga (1946) · 5 Copa del Rey titles · 7 UEFA Cup / Europa League titles (record) · UEFA Super Cup (2006) · Spanish Super Cup (2007).

The ground. The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán opened in September 1958 and is named after the club president who died in 1956. It hosted the 1982 World Cup semi-final between West Germany and France, the 1986 European Cup final and the 2022 Europa League final. In April 2026 a plan to rebuild it on the same site for about 55,000 fans received preliminary approval.

Biggest rivalries

  • Real Betis. The Gran Derbi divides Seville and is one of the most passionate derbies in Spain, with the whole city stopping when the clubs meet. Sevilla vs Real Betis tickets →
  • Real Madrid and Barcelona. Visits from Spain's two giants are the biggest home fixtures of the season and among the fastest to sell out. Real Madrid vs Sevilla tickets →
  • Andalusian rivals. Derbies against Málaga, Cádiz and Granada add regional spice whenever the clubs share a division.

Getting to Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán

Seville · 43,751 capacity · Opened 1958

The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán has been Sevilla's home since 1958. It stands in the Nervión district, east of the historic centre, and its compact, steep stands keep fans close to the pitch. The club plans to rebuild the stadium on the same site and to play at La Cartuja during the works, so always check the venue on your fixture.

Public transport: Nervión station on Seville Metro Line 1, on Avenida de Eduardo Dato, is right next to the stadium. Parking nearby is limited, so public transport is the best option on matchdays.

Away fans: Visiting supporters are placed in a separated section, and the exact block is confirmed with each allocation.

Seating at Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán

The Sánchez-Pizjuán has been an all-seated bowl since 1998. The Preferencia, the west main stand, is the only roofed part of the ground, with the Gol Norte and Gol Sur ends behind the goals and a long open stand on the east side.

The Gol Norte is the place for atmosphere, while central Preferencia seats are the premium choice and the only ones in the shade. The Gol Sur and the upper rows on the east side usually offer the best value. Each listing states its section, so you know exactly where you will sit.
