History
About Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia
The Milan architect Giovanni Greppi designed the stadium, which opened in 1927 on the shore of Lake Como. It is named after Giuseppe Sinigaglia, a world champion rower who was killed in the First World War. The running and cycling tracks were removed in 1975, the Distinti stand was rebuilt with seats in 2024 after Como's promotion to Serie A, and in summer 2026 the Curva Ovest was rebuilt in concrete before the stadium was approved for Champions League matches.
