History
About Stadio Ennio Tardini
The stadium opened on 16 September 1924 and is named after Ennio Tardini, a lawyer and Parma president from 1921 to 1923 who died the year before it opened. It was built as a multi-sport venue with a cycling track and gymnasium, and was renamed Polisportivo Walter Branchi under the fascist regime before reverting to Tardini in 1947. Seating was expanded in the 1990s during Parma’s most successful period, and the east stand was rebuilt in 2006. It has been used only for football for around four decades.
