History
About Molineux Stadium
Molineux has been Wolverhampton Wanderers' home since 1889. Originally part of the Molineux Hotel pleasure gardens, the ground was developed by Wolves into one of England's earliest dedicated football venues. Major redevelopments in the 1990s brought all-seater compliance; the Stan Cullis Stand redeveloped 2011-12 added 3,000 seats. The ground hosted some of the earliest European club matches. Wolves' famous 1950s floodlit friendlies are credited with helping inspire the Champions League.
