History
About Lotto Park
Anderlecht moved to a site on the edge of Meir Park, later renamed Astrid Park, in 1917, and the ground was named after the club’s first president, Émile Versé, the following year. Concrete stands replaced the original wooden one over the following decades, and the record crowd of 38,349 watched the match against Standard Liège in September 1980. Between 1983 and 1991 the ground was rebuilt with two-tier covered stands and renamed after chairman Constant Vanden Stock. Work in 2012 to meet UEFA standards reduced capacity to about 21,500, and the stadium was renamed Lotto Park under a naming-rights deal in July 2019.
