History
About Carrow Road
Norwich City left their previous ground, The Nest, after the FA judged it unsuitable for large crowds. Carrow Road was built in 82 days and opened on 31 August 1935 with a 4–3 win over West Ham United. A fire on 25 October 1984 destroyed the old City Stand, and its replacement opened in 1986. The ground became all-seater after the Taylor Report; the South Stand, the last of the original stands to be replaced, partly opened in January 2004.
