History
About Cardiff City Stadium
The stadium was built between 2007 and 2009 on the site of the Cardiff Athletics Stadium in Leckwith, a short walk from Ninian Park, which it replaced. Cardiff City won their first league game there 4–0 against Scunthorpe United on 8 August 2009. A second tier was added to the Ninian Stand in 2014, before the stadium hosted the UEFA Super Cup between Real Madrid and Sevilla that August.
