History
About Tüpraş Stadyumu
The stadium stands on the site of the BJK İnönü Stadium, opened in 1947, which was demolished from June 2013. Designed by DB Architects with Bünyamin Derman, it opened on 10 April 2016, and Beşiktaş beat Bursaspor 3–2 in the first match the next day. Its height was limited to protect views of Dolmabahçe Palace and the Bosphorus, and the old ground’s Marathon Gate was kept. It was called Vodafone Arena and then Vodafone Park before taking the Tüpraş name in 2023.
