History
About Tehelné pole
The new stadium stands on the site of the original Tehelné pole, which opened in 1940 and was demolished from July 2013. Built by Strabag to a design by Karol Kállay, it was part-funded by the Slovak government, and the final cost was put at about €98.4 million. It opened on 3 March 2019 with Slovan’s 2–0 win over Spartak Trnava in front of a full house. Slovakia played their first international there against Paraguay on 13 October 2019.
