History

About Tannadice Park

The site, then called Clepington Park, was used for football from the 1870s and was home to Dundee Wanderers from 1894. The newly formed Dundee Hibernian took over the lease in 1909, renamed the ground Tannadice Park and played their first match there against Hibernian on 18 August 1909. The club, renamed Dundee United in 1923, bought the ground for £2,500 after promotion in 1925. The main stand of 1962 was the first in Scotland with a cantilever roof, and between 1992 and 1997 new stands made the ground all-seated.

  • The Shed (West Stand)

End stand with a 1957 roof over seated former terracing, given to home or away fans as demand requires.

  • George Fox Stand
