History
About Stade de l'Aube
The ground was built in 1924 by the industrialist Marcel Vitoux on a site called Le Labourat and opened in 1925. It was renovated in 1956, bought by the city in 1961, when a 400 m athletics track was added, and given a main stand in 1967. Work in 1998–99 added the south, east and north stands, taking capacity to about 18,000, and a 2002–04 rebuild replaced the main stand and added two corners. The rebuilt stadium was inaugurated on 8 October 2004 with a France v Ireland under-21 match.
