History

About The Falkirk Stadium

Work began in 2003 after Brockville Park, Falkirk’s town-centre home since 1885, was sold for about £9 million. The stadium was a partnership between the club and Falkirk Council, which set up Falkirk Community Stadium Ltd to fund and run it, and Falkirk spent 2003–04 sharing Stenhousemuir’s Ochilview Park. The main west stand opened in 2004, the 2,000-seat north stand followed in 2005 in time to meet top-flight seating rules, and the south stand opened in August 2009. The joint venture ended in 2009, with the club taking control of the football facilities while the council kept most development rights on the site.
