History

About Enea Stadion

Building began in 1968 and took almost 12 years; the stadium opened on 23 August 1980 with a 1–1 draw between Lech and Motor Lublin, with three stands on artificial banks and one side left open. Floodlights were first used for Poland v Greece on 15 October 1986. A rebuild began in 2003, starting with the north stand (opened 2004) and the south stand (2006–08), and was then extended with a new roof and side stands for Euro 2012. The stadium reopened on 20 September 2010 and hosted three Euro 2012 group matches. It was INEA Stadion from 2013 to 2018 and has been Enea Stadion since July 2023.
