History
About Aspmyra Stadion
Bodø council chose Aspmyra for a central sports ground in 1963, and the municipal stadium, with a running track and a 2,500-seat wooden-bench grandstand, opened in 1966. The club bought the ground in 1999 and built a roofed south stand and an unroofed east stand, removing the track; the first match at the rebuilt ground was played on 22 April 2001. Artificial turf replaced grass in 2006, and the municipality bought the stadium back in 2011 after public subsidies to the club were ruled illegal. A 660-seat west stand followed in 2021, and in 2022 a seated stand replaced the standing area in front of the old north grandstand to meet UEFA category 4 requirements.
