History
About Berit Sitterstadion
Ground was broken on 14 September 2005 for the stadium and the attached Shopping Arena, which together cost about CHF 340 million. Switzerland played the first match there on 30 May 2008, beating Liechtenstein 3–0 in front of about 18,000 in their last warm-up for Euro 2008, and FC St. Gallen moved in from the Espenmoos that summer. It was called AFG Arena after the Arbonia-Forster group until 2016 and kybunpark from the 2016–17 season. After a vote by season-ticket holders, it took the name Berit Sitterstadion, after the Berit Klinik, on 1 July 2026.
