History
About Gradski stadion Dubočica
The new stadium replaced Leskovac’s old city ground, which had stands for about 7,000, no floodlights and had been poorly maintained for decades. Demolition began in March 2021 and construction in July 2021, with the pitch shifted slightly east, and the work was finished in spring 2023 at a cost of almost 2.5 billion dinars. It opened on 21 August 2023 with GFK Dubočica’s 2–1 win over Novi Sad 1921 in the Serbian First League. Čukarički used it for their 2023–24 European matches, and the Serbia national team has played several internationals there.
