History
About Fadil Vokrri Stadium
The stadium was built between 1951 and 1953 and has been FC Prishtina’s home since it opened. It was renovated between 2016 and 2018 to meet UEFA and FIFA standards after Kosovo joined both bodies, at a cost of about €9.5 million. On 9 June 2018 it was renamed from Pristina City Stadium after Fadil Vokrri, the former player and president of the Football Federation of Kosovo, who died that day. In 2024 UEFA declared the worn pitch unplayable, and a new hybrid pitch with drainage and undersoil heating was laid from March 2024 for about €1.3 million.
