History
About Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla
The stadium opened on 2 September 1955 with a 0–4 friendly defeat to Barcelona, and the Trofeo Ramón de Carranza tournament began two days later. In 1984 the main stand was roofed, a new north end was built and the athletics track was removed, taking capacity to about 23,000. Between 2003 and 2012 it was rebuilt stand by stand: the east and south stands in 2003–05, the north end in 2006–08 and the main west stand in 2011–12. It was renamed Nuevo Mirandilla in 2021, and in March 2026 a five-year naming deal with JP Financial was announced.
