History
About Åråsen Stadion
Lillestrøm SK bought marshy farmland at Sørumsbrenna from 1947, and volunteers put in about 31,000 hours of work to build the ground, which opened on 7 July 1951 with a 3–2 win over Sarpsborg in front of about 3,500 people. The grandstand burned down on 7 April 1967 and new changing rooms, clubhouse and terraces were ready by September 1968. A 3,700-seat east stand opened in 1978, the first in Norway with plastic seats, and it is the oldest part of the present ground. Between 1999 and 2002 the other three sides were rebuilt with new stands, luxury boxes, under-soil heating and surrounding commercial and residential buildings.

North Stand
Completed in 2001 as part of the 1999–2002 rebuild and named after a kit sponsor.
South Stand
The last section of the rebuild, ready for the 2002 season and named after the local newspaper Romerikes Blad.
