Watford — a Hertfordshire town of around 95,000 residents on the north-western edge of Greater London — has hosted football at Vicarage Road since 1922, making the Watford FC ground one of the longest continuously occupied venues in English football. The current 21,500-capacity stadium completed its most recent redevelopment in 2014, with the club's red-and-yellow striped façade visible across the town centre.
