History
About Chorten Arena
A stadium on ul. Słoneczna opened in the early 1970s as the Hetman stadium and grew to about 30,000 places, with a crowd of about 36,000 recorded against Widzew Łódź in 1987. The city of Białystok took the ground over in 2006. It was rebuilt in phases between 2008 and 2014 at a cost of about 250 million złoty, part-funded by EU regional money. The new stadium’s opening match, Jagiellonia against Pogoń Szczecin on 18 October 2014, ended 5–0. Since September 2024 it has carried the sponsor name Chorten Arena under a five-year deal with Grupa Chorten.
