About Champions League Quarter Final Tickets

About Quarter Finals on Anyseats

The quarter-finals are contested across two consecutive midweeks in April by the eight clubs that survived the round of 16. Pairings remain pre-determined: bracket position from the start of the knockout phase decides which round-of-16 winner faces which, with the round-of-16 seeded club retaining home advantage in the second leg. The round consistently produces the season's most-anticipated continental ties — historical bracket geography has paired Real Madrid against Manchester City, Bayern against Arsenal, PSG against Barcelona, and Liverpool against Real Madrid in recent quarter-final rounds. Quarter-final tickets carry the second-highest secondary-market premium of any UCL round, behind only the final itself.

  • Allianz Arena

Bayern Munich's 75,000-seat home and one of European football's classic knockout stages.

  • Etihad Stadium

Format — pre-determined bracket

Quarter-final pairings are locked at the start of the knockout phase, following the league-phase finish. The four quarter-final pairings are: round-of-16 winner A vs round-of-16 winner B (with the seeded club's second leg at home), and likewise for the other three pairings. There is no new draw between the round of 16 and quarter-finals — the bracket is published in February and runs through to the final without further randomisation.

What's at stake

Winners advance to the semi-finals in late April / early May. Losers exit European competition for the season. The semi-final pairings, again pre-determined, see quarter-final winner A face quarter-final winner C; quarter-final winner B faces quarter-final winner D — with the higher league-phase seed retaining home advantage in the second leg through the knockout rounds.

Pricing and demand

Quarter-final tickets typically list 100-150% above comparable league-phase pricing. Marquee pairings (e.g. Real Madrid vs Bayern, Manchester City vs Arsenal) carry an additional 40-80% premium on top. Lower-bowl long-side seats at the seeded club's second leg are the most-requested band; premium / hospitality at the same venue commands a 300-500% premium over upper-tier equivalents.

FAQ

Quarter Finals ticket FAQs

  • When are the Champions League quarter-finals played?

Across two consecutive midweeks in April. The first leg is played in early April; the second leg follows 7-10 days later.

  • How are quarter-final pairings drawn?

They are not drawn — bracket positions are pre-determined at the start of the knockout phase. Quarter-final pairings are published in February as soon as the play-off round concludes.

  • Which leg is played at home?

The higher league-phase seed plays the second leg at home, mirroring the seeding logic of the earlier knockout rounds.

  • How much do quarter-final tickets cost?

Verified resale typically runs £150-£400 for upper-tier seats, £500-£1,200 for lower-bowl long-side bands, and £2,000+ for premium and hospitality. Marquee pairings price 40-80% above the round's median.

  • Are away allocations larger for quarter-finals?

Allocation percentages are similar to earlier knockout rounds (typically 5% of stadium capacity), but member-priority demand at the away club for a quarter-final is more intense. Allocations sell out faster than in the round of 16.

  • Do quarter-final tickets ever go on general sale?

At most clubs, no. Member priority typically absorbs the entire general allocation. Verified resale is the standard route for non-members.
